Pier fishing for Bass.

Hi ... Does anyone have any tips or advice on Pier fishing for Bass.

Is it best to bottom fish or nearer the surface ? .... baits ? ....

Thanks
Rob.

Re: Pier fishing for Bass.

Hi Mate,

Best baits would be the stuff that's discarded. Small live pout can be deadly fished down the wall, not to the bottom but depends on the bottom rough or sandy and if the pier has legs (stilts?).

Big baits, big hooks and down the wall is normally best unless you have a feature to cast to.
